Corporate Program Design
In order to comply with the legislation under Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), the Canada Labour Code and Treasury Board Guidelines, employers are obligated to ensure that the workspace and tools are safe & meet ergonomic guidelines and employees are provided with the knowledge to work in a safe manner. Employers are also obligated to remove any work related barriers that result from a disability or a work related injury or illness that prevents an employee from making an optimum contribution.
An ergonomics program should promote the health and safety of employees by reducing the risks for musculoskeletal disorders in the workplace. Development of a corporate program will reinforce a culture of wellness through policies and structure that help managers and employees access the services they need. This includes determining the need for intervention, a plan for phasing in changes, procedures and protocols as well as training.
Corporate programs are customized to reflect the company values and identity.
